The Fairbanks Co-op Market is a nonprofit local food and product cooperative in the Tanana Valley. We are in the process of raising funds to establish our market outlet in downtown Fairbanks, in the old Foodland building. Our target date for opening is 2011.
Our vision statement:
The Fairbanks Community Cooperative Market works for health and sustainability by providing natural foods and products, promoting local suppliers, and offering consumer education in an open community center environment.
Our office is located in downtown Fairbanks at 542 4th Avenue, Suite 100B. Office hours are Tuesday through Friday, 1 to 5 pm.

The board commissioned a market study, conducted by G2G Research Group and released in July 2008, which analyzed two proposed sites and projected sales based on a number of factors. The Foodland store was the recommended site. Go here for the full report (1.55MB PDF).
Our bylaws were originally adopted April 14, 2007 and amended at the annual meeting.
Our first Annual Membership Meeting was held August 29, 2009. Minutes are available here.
We are now OPEN at 526 Gaffney Road, Fairbanks, AK 99701 from 8 am to 8 pm Monday through Saturday and 10 am to 6 pm Sunday.
